Ep. 38 – Sketch and Stand Up Comedy vs Theatre
Today, Kevin and Patrick are going to talk about the different kinds of writing they do. From musical theatre, to stand up comedy, to the sketch comedy group, Clip Show, that they are both members of. They’ll discuss how the process is different with each type of writing, as well as what they like and dislike about each. They also talk about some of their favorite, lesser known sketch comedy groups.
The song at the end is the overture from Kevin and Patrick’s new musical, Great Frontier: A Poorly Researched Musical About Lewis And Clark, as performed by our wonderful pianist, Chie Monoe, at a sold out performance at the NY Theatre Festival this past July.
