***DONATE TO OUR PATREON TO HELP US PAY FOR REHEARSAL SPACES THIS SUMMER! WE’LL BE PERFORMING OUR MUSICAL AT THE HUDSON GUILD THEATRE IN NYC JULY 24TH, 28TH, and 30TH***
Today on We Wrote A Musical, Patrick let’s Kevin fulfill his dying wish by letting him talk for 30 minutes about rock concept albums. We talk about the early concept albums, like The Who’s “Tommy” and The Beatles’ “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” as well as the other bands that popularized the concept album, like Pink Floyd, Frank Zappa, Spock’s Beard, Rush, Jethro Tull, The Decemberists, Green Day and more!
The song at the end is “My Buddy and Me” from Kevin and Patrick’s new musical, Great Frontier: A Poorly Researched Musical About Lewis and Clark. You can see this musical in its entirety at the NY Summerfest this July! Details coming soon!
